Carrie - I did that same thing last week, I was actually telling a story to your husband and sons, and I mentioned that I walked through the snow, and I also said that my mom was mowing the lawn. They caught the discrepancy, and I was embarrassed that I actually told an untruth (ALTHOUGH COMPLETELY UNINTENTIONAL!!). I just remember it being cold that night, I guess. lol. Whoops!

I am finally accepting the fact that I have a bad memory. I have been finding myself filling in the gaps of stories or conversations with what I think is the truth (not knowing for sure). Sometimes I'm convinced about something and will only find out later that I was totally wrong. It's much better to just say "I don't know." or "I don't remember." Even if it is 100 times a day!

about six or seven years ago, i caught a friend in a lie, and we argued about it. she said it wasn't a lie. i said it was. i couldn't believe she said it wasn't a lie.

finally, i did get her to admit it was an 'untruth'. but it was never considered a lie to her.

really odd how some people think. very odd.
