Maybe it's time to put a lightswitch by the door. The more access we have to "light" the less we'll stumble. Think about it.

LOL! Yes, I have walked in that door with the lights off, and run right into something in the middle of the room that's not normally there!

And, let me just tell you, I bruise easy. :)

I have walked in that same door (about once a month or so) when it's black, and I'm good to go as well.

But, i'm always cautious--what is someone left a ladder in the middle of the aisle? what is the maintenance guy was moving chairs?

Sometimes, we get so familiar, we run through the darkness and think we're invincible. and then, when we least expect it, we learn we're not invincible, and it hurts--sometimes for days and days (when we have a really large bruise on our left shin).

What you say is totally true. I sometimes find myself thinking I'm a good guy and doing the stuff I need to do. But then I realize I have fallen into darkness. So I try to remember what Jesus said in Matt 6:22-23. The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body sahll be full of light. But if thine eye be evil, the whole body shall be full of darkness...(KJV)

Hmm...this is interesting, because I just had this experience this past Wednesday.

I came through the same door, with the lights off, and it occurred to me that I knew the room so well that I could walk to the back very quickly and not collide with anything.

This is an interesting, yet true correlation with our faith. Definitely something to think about...now, excuse me while I go to my thinking chair...
