Why would I condemn another church's God encounter if I wasn't there to experience it myself? Even if I was there to experience it myself - I won't condemn it unless it is Biblically unsound. Anything else is hearsay. For example, I will gladly condemn some of the "God Encounters" at Covenant Bible Church Tulsa, Oklahoma. At this church I was told that if I don't feel the presence of God where I was standing, I should move to the other side of the room because the presence of God might not be where I am -- but it might be on the other side of the room. What happened to omnipresence?! I was there -- I heard it with my own ears, and I heard it in context and according to the Bible I should judge it. Thanks for bringing that up. In the scripture I referenced in Acts 3 -- the people were filled with wonder -- but right after that Peter preached to all those people and a bunch of them got saved (can anyone say PURPOSE!).
