All production requires large amounts of trust. If I thought about it I wouldn't trust that it would all get done so I just trust and don't think about it. It's very cool how it all works. Thanks for the reminder :)

I have learned this many years ago although not all are receptive, but for the ones that are I still try , God leads me into asking , I just learned a person I have been praying for and not so much spoken prayer as posted prayer on face book for people written out he saw and called me, he ask us to pray because he had seen what God was doing in our lives even while rod has been laid off for two years God is still providing and abundantly, It just goes to show , prayer cannot not get out unless we start with ourselves,I hope this gentleman somehow gets healed and he lets u know

The Big Diehl Blog and the "Your Mission" article is very insightful. It spoke to my heart and encouraged me to to all I can to help others move from -6 to 0 and +6 in the Journey with Christ as I also journey with Him. Thank you for your insights.

Clarification ^^^ I don't mean to imply that the only actions that count are the actions that everyone sees. I'm talking about all actions - even when nobody is looking (including prayer or worship). In other words, you don't have to be the outgoing person - I don't want to misrepresent my own thoughts!

You knew I would chime in on this. :)

I think you're spot on. Jesus was certainly kind and gentle, especially to those in need. But he also turned over the tables of the moneychangers. When a group of armed men came after him, he taunted them.

I think Driscoll's characterization of Jesus answers a deep need in a lot of men. For the last 50 or so years, Christianity and our society in general has basically downplayed masculinity. I can't think of a single time in my upbringing, and quite often recently, in which the masculine "stand strong for what is right, don't back down" has been emphasized. Instead, it's "oh, turn the other cheek, be nice, be a doormat".

Jesus wasn't a doormat. He wasn't a jerk either. He was a strong man (and God!), secure in Himself and His relationship with the Father. Not a troublemaker, but He sure didn't back down from the evil around Him.

And, He's not my boyfriend. He's my commander. He's my brother. He's my God. But not my boyfriend. Let's make that clear.

Once again - for the record - I LOVE MARK DRISCOLL. He's the bomb. But as the post stated - I do think he's put Jesus in a box of perception. We ALL do this sometimes... and we all oughtta be careful to assume that Jesus doesn't look just like me. We were made in HIS image, not the other way around. Okay that's all. Hope you enjoyed this.
