I just read a great article about innovation, especially within the church. Here are some of my favorite parts:
“[What is innovation?] Does it mean meeting in a bar, as my friend’s church does? Or does it mean, for a hymn-based church, to experiment with using guitars and drums? ”
“But while innovation breeds innovation, it also breeds more dissatisfaction with what is and what has been.”

Yes, that is a fantastic article.
It’s so true that many times we put innovation on a pedestal, and then justify it as a means to an end, when it is, in fact, the end.
I know I’ve done it, and the fact is that we are probably all guilty of it at one time or another.
And, yes, innovation is a perpetual cycle. The minute you innovate, you must re-innovate, and re-re-innovate, and so on without ending. Because people won’t be satisfied with the status-quo anymore.
I’m also commenting to let you be aware of of the excellent discovery my cousin’s child enjoyed checking your blog.
